A destination accessible to everybody!

To respond to specific requests of handicapped people and to help them to best prepare their stay, read the practical information good to know.

On the Montreuil-sur-Mer territory, you can find:

  • activities, ballads and heritage visits adapted to disabled people.

  • all accommodation (hotels, bed and breakfast, gîtes) certified by ‘Tourisme & Handicap’ or adapted to disabled people.

 

The tourist office

  • The reception desk and the shop are fit to help disabled people to move easily and be correctly informed.

  • Every people including disabled can relax and consult documentation in a provided space.

  • Guide dogs or any other service animals are allowed to get in the tourist office.

  • Our advisers are used to talk to disabled or older people and consequently can easily deal with their requests: communication by writing to people with auditory impairment, show patience…

  • Documentation displays’ main themes are recognizable thanks to black and white pictograms.

      

Activities for everyone

  • The ballad on the Montreuil rampart is accessible from everywhere. Throughout the 3 km of walking, you can find banks for a little break. The portion of wall from ‘Rue Saint-Austreberthe’ to ‘Rue des Etuves’ is the most accessible and adapted way for disabled people with a third. Please see the ‘Promenade des Remparts’ map including the differences in level.
  • In Montreuil-sur-Mer, fishing is accessible to disabled thanks to a secure pontoon under the road bridge named ‘Place du Cormoran’.
